JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The 20th-ranked University of North Georgia rifle team set a new school record in smallbore for the second consecutive week, shooting a 2285, six points better than last week's mark of 2279. UNG shot an aggregate score of 4576 to finish fourth in a strong five-team field that also included No. 2 Murray State, No. 13 Memphis and No. 15 Jacksonville State.

Dakota Spivey set a new personal record of 579 in smallbore and Andrew Abernathy equaled his previous personal best of 579. Complete results were not yet available as of the posting of this story.

The Gamecock Invite was the final event of the fall slate as the Nighthawks will now break for the holidays. UNG will next be in action on Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Withrow Invitational hosted by Murray State.
