SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference placed two teams in the FCS Selection Committee Rankings, released Thursday (Nov. 10). This season the FCS Selection Committee is releasing an in-season weekly top-10 poll for the final three weeks of the season.

The Citadel held steady in sixth place, which is where the Bulldogs (9-0, 7-0) were tabbed last week. Meanwhile, Chattanooga (8-1, 6-1 SoCon) moved up a spot from eighth to seventh. The Bulldogs are 9-0 for the first time in school history. The Citadel has already locked up the league’s automatic bid to the FCS Playoffs and at least a share of the Southern Conference title. The Bulldogs can win the league crown outright with a win at VMI Saturday.

The Mocs are in position to earn a playoff bid for the third consecutive season. UTC plays host to Wofford (6-3, 4-2 SoCon) Saturday.

Both teams will end the regular season with FBS matchups. The Citadel will travel to
North Carolina on November 19, while Chattanooga visits Alabama to close the regular season.

The selection committee will release a final in-season top 10 on Nov. 17. The full FCS Playoff bracket will be revealed Sunday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. on ESPNU.
