MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The UAB rifle team took part in the 2016 Tiger Open Rifle Tournament in Memphis, Tenn., Sept. 19 to Oct. 6.

Lilly Vonderau scored 552 points to lead UAB and finished 38th overall in the smallbore division. Sarah Grace Banks took the lead for the Blazers in the air rifle division with a score of 576 and finished 31st overall.

Vonderau took second for UAB with 563 points while Selina Curren placed third for UAB with 562 points. Kristie Lloyd, Emily Stover and Steven Bugg rounded out the Blazer participants in the tournament.

UAB returns to action Oct. 8 when the Blazers travel to Spartanburg, S.C., to face Wofford in a closed match.
