Praters Athletic Flooring, SoCon announce deal

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced Wednesday a sponsorship agreement with Praters Athletic Flooring. Praters, based in Chattanooga, Tenn., will serve as the official supplier of sports flooring services to the Southern Conference and will bring a consistently high level of service combined with cutting-edge graphic and branding capabilities.

“Many basketball courts today are works of art that enhance the fan experience and bring excitement to the game,” said SoCon Commissioner John Iamarino. “Praters has led the way in the innovation and design of these courts. The Southern Conference is pleased to partner with a company like Praters, and we look forward to this new and unique opportunity.”

Praters joins a growing list of corporate sponsors that have partnered with the league for the 2016 Southern Conference Basketball Championships presented by General Shale. The SoCon has also recently entered into partnerships with Holston Gases, Bank of America, Innovative Office Solutions and Slipp-Nott.

The SoCon basketball tournaments, which will be contested at the U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville, N.C., through at least the 2021 season, will take place this year March 3-7. The men’s title game will air live on ESPN2, while every other contest will air live on ESPN3.
