SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s T.J. Cromer has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for all games played Jan. 5-11. Cromer averaged 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game as the Bucs earned league wins over UNCG (86-83) and VMI (88-61).

Cromer began the week with 20 points, six assists and five rebounds in the win over the Spartans.  He followed that performance with a game-high 23 points and five rebounds in just 27 minutes of action against the Keydets. 

The junior was 9-of-12 from 3-point range last week and shot 14-of-20 (.700) from the field overall. 

The Albany, Ga., native ranks fifth in the league with 15.8 points per game and has averaged 19.7 points per contest in league play. 

The Bucs (10-6, 3-0 SoCon) return to action Thursday night when they travel to Samford (10-7, 1-3 SoCon).

Other top performers in the Southern Conference included Mercer’s Jordan Strawberry, UNCG’s R.J. White, Samford’s Darius Jones-Gibson, Chattanooga’s Greg Pryor, Western Carolina’s Rhett Harrelson and Wofford’s Spencer Collins.
