EUGENE, Ore. - Keyth Fightmaster of the Samford University track and field team wrapped up competition for the Bulldogs at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, June 12, at Hayward Field.
The freshman started off in the high jump competition by clearing the 2.08m mark in his first attempt. He was one of 12 different student-athletes to pass the mark on their first try.
Fightmaster battled to clear the second height in the competition as it took him all three tries to advance past the 2.12m (6' 11.5") mark.
The Calhoun, Georgia native continued to fight at the 2.16m (7' 01") but clipped the bar on all three of his attempts to exit the competition with an 19th place finish.
