On using double-screen offense
“It is tough to defend and it creates a lot of mismatches. You have to guard her (Whitney Bunn) coming off, and if you hedge it, then our 4 pops out and they are all 3-point shooters and we have Brittany Hodges inside. It is a tough play for other teams to guard against us.”

On turnovers
“Not to discredit Samford, but it was just us chucking the ball out of bounds. We weren’t really focused and I think it had to do with nerves, especially early on in the first half. We had 11 (turnovers) in the first half, but I’ll take six in the second half.”

On facing Chattanooga tomorrow
“I know Chattanooga is an extraordinary team, but I’m confident to play against them fully loaded. We played them twice, 12 days apart in January and we didn’t do that well. Our girls are excited and anxious because they’re an outstanding opponent and we can’t have so many turnovers.”

“I felt like I was in a zone after I made my first couple of 3s. I like the goals here, so I was just shooting.”

On playing at U.S. Cellular Center
“It’s definitely going to be different, but I think we’ll be ready. We’ll be there early and get a lot of shots in during warmups.”

Opening Statement
“First of all, a lot of credit to Furman, I thought they played very well. They shot well from behind the arc (11-for-20). From an offensive standpoint, they were clicking on all cylinders. I thought we had a lull there in the first half that lasted about seven to eight minutes and that being the difference in the game. I was pleased by the way our team fought in the second half.”

On team’s performance
“We did a good job of not turning the ball over. We had five more offensive rebounds and we created more shot opportunities for ourselves. We didn’t shoot the ball very well. They made more shots than we did.”
