“I would have felt better if I could have hit my free throws, but I know I couldn’t have done this without my teammates. They were passing me the ball on the pick-and-rolls and I was going to the basket aggressively.”

“We have to do better with the ball, we had 20 (turnovers); which is really high for us, saying we take care of the ball most of the time. Defensively, I thought we controlled their guards. I know Jade (Scaife) killed us last time, so we got her off the boards and kept her contained offensively. I thought we rebounded the ball very well, so that helped.”

On shooting 61 percent in the second half
“Coach told us to be patient and to take our time on our shots. We started doing that and we made a bunch of shots.”

On Samford/Furman game
“We’re going to stay for the first half to see who is going to set the tone. I know both teams are really good. Samford plays hard and Furman had three SoCon first-team members.

“We did a good job of staying within the scheme that we had, and for the most part, we remained disciplined. We work on defense every day, and we executed.”

On playing in postseason
“It flows a lot of different ways. It is called differently. Everyone is more uptight, I guess, and you have to mentally deal with it and move forward, and that’s what we did.”
