Samford, the highest returning finisher for both the men’s and women’s, came in fourth for the women’s with 113.5 points and third for the men’s with 112 points.

The 2014 Most Outstanding Field Performer Jared Johnson of Western Carolina returns and looks to improve upon a successful 2014 campaign. Samford’s Morgan Johnson, the 2014 Freshman of the Year, will also look for another strong performance.

In the most recent power rankings, which include meets through Feb. 22, Western Carolina leads both the men’s and women’s rankings with a sizeable advantage in both. Samford ranks second in both while ETSU is third on the women’s and Furman comes in third on the men’s side.

The rankings are determined by the top eight times or scores that are reported by the schools for each event that will be conducted at this weekend’s championships.
