Most Valuable Fans Contest
CONTEST OVERVIEW
The Most Valuable Fans Contest is a three-week social media competition that will determine which SoCon school has the most school pride and supportive fans! Each week there will be a different task, on a designated social media platform, that fans have to complete in order to gain a point for their school. And over the course of the three weeks, schools with fewer point totals will be eliminated, until there is a winning school.
PRIZE
The winning school will be able to elect their Most Valuable Fan and send them to the 2015 SoCon Basketball Tournament in Asheville, NC. The MVF will be set up with a hotel room throughout the tournament, and given an All-Access credential to get them into the all games, with access to the VIP areas. They will have a designated seat in the arena and be honored at halftime of their team’s first game where they will receive a MVF t-shirt and some other SoCon goodies!
CONTEST DETAILS
There are two ways to vote and gain points each week for your school.
Option 1: Vote in the MVF Contest Poll on SoConSports.com. YOU CAN VOTE IN THE POLL EVERY WEEK, NO MATTER THE SOCIAL MEDIA TASK.
Option 2: Complete the task on the designated social media platform, including your school’s specific hashtag and #SoCon.
Week 3: Finals: Top school WINS!
Theme: BUT FIRST, LET’S TAKE A SELFIE
Platform: Instagram
Task: POST a selfie on Instagram showing your pride for your favorite SoCon school. Include your school-specific hashtag and #SoCon. Each photo posted counts as 1 point.
Voting Schedule: Monday, February 23rd at 12pm - Friday, February 27th at 12pm.
