Gardner-Webb’s Sunday matches canceled

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb’s Sunday afternoon wrestling matches vs. Cleveland State and Ohio have been canceled.

Snow and icy road conditions in Ohio prevented both Cleveland State and Ohio from traveling safely. The matches will not be rescheduled.

Gardner-Webb, which finished with a 4-3 mark in the Southern Conference this season, will now turn its attention to the Arby’s SoCon Wrestling Championship in Asheville, N.C. The event will take place on March 7, with bids to the NCAA Championships on the line.

VMI’s Sunday match against Bucknell canceled

LEXINGTON, Va. – Due to excessive snow in Rockbridge County on Saturday, the wrestling match scheduled for Sunday against No. 22 Bucknell has been canceled. There are no current plans to reschedule the contest.

The Keydets are now scheduled to return to action at the Arby’ Southern Conference Wrestling Championship on March 7 in Asheville, N.C.
