MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team grabbed a 6-1 win over Fort Valley State on Tuesday afternoon at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.

The Bears competed without sophomore Haley Powell, causing them to give up a singles point at the number 6 spot. However, Mercer responded extremely well and won the rest of its singles matches.

Mercer also won the doubles point, despite only playing with two pairings.

Next up, the Bears will head to Tallahassee, Fla., to face No. 34 Florida State.
