GREENVILLE, S.C. – Junior outside hitter Annie Bierman has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-East Coast Region Team, it was announced today by the AVCA. The nod makes Bierman the second-consecutive Paladin in program history to be named AVCA All-Region.

Bierman turned in an outstanding junior season, leading the Paladins to a 21-9 record, 12-4 Southern Conference record, Southern Conference Tournament Championship and first NCAA appearance since 2008. The Hamilton, Ohio, native was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Week on three occasions and the SoCon Volleyball Player of the Month for October and November.

Bierman led the Paladins in kills (467) and kills per set (4.32), and was second on the team in digs (402) en route to being named the SoCon Player of the Year.
