SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Chattanooga senior Eric Robertson has been named Southern Conference General Shale Student-Athlete of the Week for competition held Dec. 16-22, the league office announced Wednesday.

Robertson, a guard on UTC’s men’s basketball team, averaged 13.0 points and 3.5 assists as the Mocs earned wins over Kennesaw State and Radford this past week. He recorded two season highs by scoring 15 points on five made 3-pointers against KSU on Friday before registering 11 points and a career-high five assists against Radford on Tuesday. The Huntsville, Ala., native was 47.1 percent (8-17) from behind the arc in the two games. He is shooting 53.1 percent (17-32) from 3-point range over UTC's last five contests.

In the classroom, Robertson holds a 3.73 grade point average and is majoring in non-profit management. He garnered all-academic honors as a junior and was named to the SoCon Honor Roll as a freshman and sophomore.
