• The Citadel has earned at least a share of the Southern Conference regular season title. Its is their first conference crown since 1992. Saturday’s game against UTC will decide the league’s automatic bid to the FCS playoffs.

• Home teams are 11-11 in conference play this season and are 48-38 since the start of 2013.

• Ten of the 22 league games this season have been decided by one possession. Nine of the 28 league games were decided by one possession last year and 16 of the SoCon’s 36 league games were decided by one possession in 2013.

• The Chattanooga Mocs and Citadel Bulldogs are ranked in both weekly FCS polls.
UTC is ranked eighth in the STATS, LLC., poll and ninth by the FCS coaches. The Citadel is ranked No. 20 in the coaches poll, and No. 21 in the STATS LLC poll.
• Western Carolina is among the teams receiving votes.

• The Southern Conference has two players on the STATS Offensive Player of the Year Watch List and three on the Defensive Player of the Year Watch List.
• Offensive Player of the Year - Jacob Huesman (Chattanooga) and Troy Mitchell (Western Carolina).
• Defensive Player of the Year - Keionta Davis (Chattanooga), Dee Delaney (The Citadel) and Cory Magwood (Furman).

• Southern Conference teams are 13-4 at home in nonconference games this season.
• SoCon teams were 15-4 at home in 2014 and went 8-7 in 2013. League teams finished 13-2 at home in nonconference play during 2012 after going 15-1 in 2011. SoCon teams own a record of 75-21 (.781) in nonconference home games since the start of the 2010 season.
