• A Southern Conference team has ranked either first or second nationally in rushing in 13 of the last 14 seasons.

• The Citadel ranks third in the nation with 343.8 yards per game on the ground.

• Wofford head coach Mike Ayers is the dean of SoCon coaches. Ayers has tallied 139 wins at ETSU and Wofford while coaching in the Southern Conference. He ranks third on the league’s all-time wins list behind Appalachian State’s Jerry Moore and Duke’s Wallace Wade. Mercer’s Bobby Lamb is fifth on the all-time wins list with 75.
