SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Furman’s Annie Bierman earned offensive player of the week honors for the second consecutive week, and Wofford’s Jessica Graham garnered defensive player of the week recognition for competition that took place Oct. 19-25. Selections were made by the conference office.

Offensive Player of the Week: Annie Bierman ▪ Furman ▪ Junior ▪ Outside Hitter ▪ Hamilton, Ohio

Bierman continued an impressive junior campaign, putting down 28 kills in sweeps of Samford and The Citadel this past week. The Hamilton, Ohio, native managed a per-set average of 4.67 kills and a .351 hitting percentage across the two matches. Against Samford, Bierman notched a team-high 17 kills and followed up with 11 kills versus The Citadel. Bierman leads the conference in kills per set with a 4.53 average. This is her second straight player of the week honor and third this season.

Defensive Player of the Week: Jessica Graham ▪ Wofford ▪ Senior ▪ Libero/Defensive Specialist ▪ Goose Creek, S.C.

Graham had a solid week defensively for the Terriers, recording 62 digs in three matches for an average of 5.64 digs per set. The Goose Creek, S.C., native posted 27 digs in a five-set win over Mercer on Saturday and 24 digs in a sweep of Western Carolina on Friday. She added 11 digs in a sweep of nonconference foe Presbyterian. Graham is tops in the SoCon in total digs with 465 and ranks third in the league with 4.70 digs per set. This is her third career player of the week award.
