SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced its broadcast schedule for the upcoming men’s and women’s basketball season today (October 15). Southern Conference men’s basketball programs will make a total of 40 exposures across 12 different linear television networks this season and will have an additional 105 games involving league teams produced for ESPN3. Southern Conference men’s basketball teams will also make 83 more appearances on various conference and school networks, including 46 games scheduled for the SoCon Digital Network.
Southern Conference women’s basketball teams will appear in 51 games produced for ESPN3, while an additional 54 games will be available on the SoCon Digital Network. Chattanooga will host Connecticut in a game that can be seen on SportsNet New York on Nov. 30. SoCon women’s basketball programs are also set to make 13 appearances on numerous conference and school networks.
In addition to appearing on the ESPN family of networks, Southern Conference men’s basketball programs will make appearances on the American Sports Network, ACC-RSN, Big Ten Network, SEC Network, Fox Sports One, Fox Sports 2, Fox Sports Southeast and SportsNet New York. Southern Conference home games that are not picked up for broadcast will appear on the SoCon Digital Network.
The first three days of the 2016 Southern Conference men’s basketball tournament will be available on ESPN3. The opening round (March 4), quarterfinals (March 5) and semifinals (March 6) will all be shown live. The men’s basketball championship game is set for Monday, March 7, at 9 p.m. on ESPN2. The entire women’s tournament (March 3-6) will be shown on ESPN3.
