MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men’s and women’s lacrosse teams have partnered to participate in the Every Yards for Yeards campaign and will collectively run one million yards in a month.
The campaign is being run in conjunction with the One Love Foundation with the purpose of spreading awareness about relationship violence and celebrating the life of Yeardley Love.
“We are honored and excited to be participating in the Every Yards for Yeards campaign,” said Head Coach Eve Levinson. “We are pleased to be raising awareness for this great cause. We are also happy that the men’s team has joined us in this endeavor, as it helps to bond our two programs and bring light to the fact that this is not just a women’s issue.”
In the first two weeks of the campaign, the teams have run 575,736 yards.
