^{GLENCOE, Ala. – Samford women’s golfer Emily Stallings fired a 1-over-par 73 on Sunday to move into a three-way tie for first place on the opening day of competition at the Chris Banister Golf Classic being hosted by Jacksonville State University at the par-72, 5,943-yard Silver Lakes Golf Course.}

^{As a team, the Bulldogs posted a first-round score of 310 to finish the opening 18 holes of play in sole possession of third place. Heading into Monday’s second round of action, Samford only trails first-place Troy (305) by five strokes and Morehead State (308) by two.}

^{Stallings finds herself tied for first place in the tournament with Troy’s Langley Vannoy and Morehead State’s Jeanette Petersen.}

^{Samford’s next three finishers, Sydney Needham, Bailey Gray and Arin Eddy, all posted identical scores of 79. The Bulldogs’ trio is tied for 22nd place in the individual standings of the 67-competitor tournament.}

^{Haley Harrington rounded out the Bulldogs’ scoring Sunday with a first-round mark of 80. Additionally, Kate Collom and Haley Wagner both competed as individuals and finished the opening day of play with scores of 79 and 85, respectively.}

^{Play in the 2014 Chris Banister Golf Classic will resume Monday at 7:30 a.m. (CDT) at the Silver Lakes Golf Course.}

^{The Citadel finishes 12th at Lady Bearcat Invitational}

^{HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Junior Eraina Manor fired an 8-over 152 and finished in a four-way tie for 21st while leading The Citadel golf team to a 12th-place showing at the Lander Lady Bearcat Invitational this weekend.}

^{Manor fired a pair of 76s to place herself alongside Paulina Camacho (Savannah College of Art & Design), Laura Bird (UNC Pembroke) and Mariona Maeso (SCAD).}

^{Teammates Kellie Anderson (78-81-159) and Cameron Little (83-76-159) posted the second-best scores (+15) for the Bulldogs, joining Savannah Thompson (UNC Pembroke) in a three-way tie for 50th at the Old South Golf Links course.}

^{Renata Sucha (89-85-174, +30) and Hollie Salvo (94-86-180, +36) completed the card for The Citadel.}

^{The Dogs fired a 644 (326-318) as a team, finishing in front of Young Harris, North Georgia, Eckerd and USC Beaufort.}

^{St. Leo narrowly emerged as the champion of the 16-team field with a 593, edging Savannah College of Art & Design by one stroke. The individual championship went to SCAD's Alazne Urizar, who shot a 4-under 140 (68-72), one shot better than Brittany LaPadula (Limestone).}
