SPARTANBURG, S.C. - After the conclusion of the Southern Conference Women's Golf Championship, it was determined that Appalachian State's Haley Zagoria played with a 56-degree wedge that did not conform to the Rules of Golf in Sunday's first round. Her club was sent to the USGA, who inspected it and made that ruling. Consequently, Zagoria is retroactively DQed from the first round. That changes Appalachian State's first-round score from a 331 to a 340 and its final score from 990 to 999. It also drops Appalachian State in the final standings from seventh to ninth, bumping up UNCG and The Citadel one spot each.
