The Citadel's Frisch takes sixth at Cliff Keen
LAS VEGAS – The Citadel's Matt Frisch earned three victories at this weekend's Cliff Keen Invitational as he brought home sixth place in the 149-pound bracket for the Bulldogs.
Joining Frisch with multiple wins at the event were Joaquin Marquez (125) and Marshall Haas (197), who emerged with two victories each. Collectively, they keyed a Citadel unit that posted a 21st-place finish.
Frisch, who squared off against Hofstra's Cody Ruggirello in the fifth-place bracket, was toppled by fall at the 43-second mark.
In the opening round of the bracket, Frisch earned a 6-4 victory over Clayton Ream (North Dakota State).
He then captured a 9-1 victory over Chris Yankowich (Virginia) to set up a match with Tyler Booth (North Idaho College). In that match, Frisch picked up an 11-2 victory and by virtue of the win earned a fourth-round meeting with Ruggirello.
The Citadel returns to action on Dec. 20 when the Bulldogs host a dual match with Southern Conference rival Campbell at McAlister Field House.
Davidson drops three at Windy City Duals
EVANSTON, Ill. – Anthony Elias earned Davidson's lone victory at the Windy City Duals on Saturday afternoon as the Wildcats fell to Drexel, 39-0, Princeton, 48-3, and No. 6 Northwestern, 47-6.
Elias posted a 6-2 decision over Princeton's Christian Innarella at 133 pounds. Elias finished the day with a 1-2 record after dropping a decision to Drexel's Kevin Devoy Jr and Northwestern's Dominick Malone.
Northwestern went 4-0 at one of its largest home dual tournaments this season, while Princeton finished the day 3-1 and Drexel dropped its last two duals to close out at 1-2.
Davidson will return to action Dec. 21 at the Grapple at the Garden in New York, N.Y. The Wildcats will square off against Bucknell and Rutgers.

SIUE falls to Purdue
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue won four one-point matches Saturday and improved to 5-1 with a 39-0 victory over SIUE at Mackey Arena.
The wrestling Cougars fell to 2-6 overall and will look to rebound next Saturday against Indiana and Manchester in Bloomington, Ind.
SIUE's Cameron Kelly, Angelo Silvestro, Jake Residori, and Chris Johnson each lost their respective matches by one point against the Boilermakers.
