• Chattanooga earned the No. 8 national seed and a bye in the first round of the 2014 FCS Playoffs.

• The Mocs are making their second playoff appearance and their first since 1984.

• UTC will host Indiana State in the second round after the Sycamores downed Eastern Kentucky (36-16) last Saturday.

• The SoCon has the most wins (100) and highest winning percentage (.613) in the postseason among all FCS conferences.

• Southern Conference teams are 45-23 in second round of the playoffs.

• Seven of the eight Southern Conference programs have appeared in the FCS playoffs.

• The winner of Saturday’s game will advance to face either top-seeded New Hampshire or Fordham.

• UTC’s Jacob Huesman was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Year, while Davis Tull earned the Defensive award.

• Home teams were 16-12 in conference play this season after going 21-15 last year.

• Nine of the 28 league games this season were decided by one possession. Sixteen of the SoCon’s 36 league games were decided by one possession last year.
