Citadel's Horgan Named Student-Athlete of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Citadel forward P.J. Horgan has been named the General Shale Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.

Horgan averaged 11.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting .667 (10-of-15) from the field in two games for the Bulldogs over the past week. He recorded his second double-double of the season against College of Charleston before his sixth double-figure scoring game of the season against Navy.

The senior forward scored 11 points and collected 10 rebounds against former SoCon foe College of Charleston. Horgan then totaled 12 points with five rebounds, a steal and a block against the Midshipmen on Saturday.

The engineering major from Rio Rancho, N.M. holds a 3.495 career grade point average.
