BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford University volleyball team went back to work on Sunday, Nov. 30, with a full-practice before the team waited with anticipation and excitement to find out who its' draw would be for the NCAA Tournament at Mugshots Grill & Bar in the Vestavia City Center.
The Bulldogs (20-12) found out that it would face a familiar foe in the opening round of the tournament; that familiar foe being in-state rival University of Alabama (25-7).
The Bulldogs are matched up with the Crimson Tide and play in the same region bracket as host Florida State University and Jacksonville University.
SU will play UA on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 4:30 p.m. on the campus of Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla.
