GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman men’s soccer team entered the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25 at No. 22 on Monday afternoon following the Paladins’ season-ending game at nationally ranked Washington in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Sunday night.
The Paladins, who played to a 0-0 draw with the Huskies before Washington advanced in nine rounds of penalty kicks, finished the season at 12-5-5. Furman was unbeaten in its last five matches, captured the Southern Conference tournament championship and posted a 7-2-1 record over its final 10 contests.
In three matches this season against teams that were nationally ranked at the time, Furman posted a 2-0-1 record.
