SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford’s Lee Skinner has been named the Southern Conference Player of the Week for all games played Jan. 7-13, while UNCG’s Tevon Saddler earned the CRONS Freshman of the Week Award, the league office announced today (Jan. 14).

PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Lee Skinner, Wofford, Jr., F, Lombard, Ill.
Wofford’s Lee Skinner recorded separate career highs in two games last week for the Terriers. The junior recorded a personal-best 28 points in Wofford’s 79-75 overtime win against The Citadel and followed that performance with a career-high 15 rebounds as the Terriers fell at Chattanooga (70-69). Skinner recorded double-doubles in each game last week and averaged 19.5 points and 14.0 rebounds in the two contests, while shooting 53.6 percent from the field. He added seven assists and a blocked shot in two games. Skinner ranks fourth in the Southern Conference with 8.4 rebounds per game and is tied for second in the league with 3.3 offensive rebounds per contest.

CRONS Freshman of the Week: Tevon Saddler, UNCG, G, Aberdeen, Md.
UNCG’s Tevon Saddler tied for the team high with 13 points in a 66-60 win at Appalachian State last week. He added six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 29 minutes of action for the Spartans, who moved to 2-1 in league play with the win. Saddler is third among conference freshmen with 12.1 points per game. He has scored in double figures in three of his last four games and is averaging 13.3 points over that stretch. It is the second time this season Saddler has earned the award after previously earning the honor on Nov. 19.
