Furman's Robinson Earns Top Drawer Soccer Honors

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Furman midfielder India Robinson has been named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Team of the Week after recording three assists this past weekend to guide the Paladins to road victories at North Florida and Jacksonville.

The Camden, S.C., native, who ranks second in the country and leads the Southern Conference with eight assists this season, assisted on both Paladin goals in Friday night’s 2-0 triumph versus the Ospreys before setting up Stephanie DeVita’s match-tying tally in the 79th minute of Sunday’s 2-1 overtime win at Jacksonville. Robinson, who earned co-MVP honors a week earlier at the Mississippi State Bulldog Classic, has compiled seven assists in Furman’s last four matches.

The Paladins, who appeared at No 50 in the first RPI released by the NCAA this week, are unbeaten in their last five matches and enter Friday’s SoCon opener versus The Citadel at Stone Stadium with a 5-2-1 mark.
