Elon Sets School Records at Raleigh Relays
RALEIGH, N.C. – Haylee Dawe and Allyson Oram set a couple of school-records in the 10,000-meters and 5,000-meters, respectively, on Friday night, March 29, as the distance members of the Elon track and field team competed at the Raleigh Relays at the Paul Derr Track and Field facility.
Dawe ran a time of 36:15.16 in the 10K race to beat the previous mark by nearly 15 second. Oram broke under the 17-minute mark with a program-best time of 16:59.38 in the 5K run, beating her former school-record time of 17:04.29.
Tereza Novotna and Caroline McCaslin and Emily Tryon ran the third, fourth and fifth fastest times in school history in the 1,500-meters with marks of 4:38.77, 4:38.84 and 4:39.17, respectively. All three would finish in the top-10 for Elon in the 130-person race.
Jenny Gallagher (39th, 4:49.25), Ellie Taff (47th, 4:50.81) and Christine Pacewicz (54th, 4:53.62) also competed for the maroon and gold in the 1,500m.
Four other runners competed in the 5,000-meters for the Phoenix. Sabina Bains had a time of 18:43.88 while Erin Macbeth (19:03.06) and Kylie Womack (20:28.59) rounded out the competition for Elon in the race.
Pagonis Breaks Davidson Men’s Track & Field 10K Record at Stanford
STANFORD, Calif./ROCK HILL, S.C. – Davidson senior Demetrios Pagonis set a new school record in the 10,000-meter run late Friday night at the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field. Other members of the Wildcats men’s track and field team competed at the nearby Winthrop Invitational Friday.
Pagonis completed his sweep of the Wildcat distance record books by completing the 10K race in 29 minutes 32.58 seconds, which was good for fourth place in the second section of the event in a very competitive field. He breezed past the record set by Ryan Hopkins at the Penn Relays last year of 29:49.01 and his own personal best of 30:12.90, which he also ran at the Penn Relays.
Pagonis and middle-distance teammate Andrew Lantz will likely give the Wildcats two representatives at the NCAA Regional meet this year, as both have turned in performances amongst the fastest in the nation in their respective events.
The ‘Cats also competed on Winthrop’s Irwin Belk Track Friday. Stewart Dalton led Davidson with a sixth-place finish in the long jump, nearing his personal best with a leap of 22 feet, 5 1?4 inches (6.84m). Nate Faubion led the ‘Cats in the 400-meter dash preliminaries in 51.52 seconds, but did not advance to the finals.
Sophomore Sal del Giudice led the Davidson men’s track and field team at the Winthrop Invitational Saturday with a victory in the 800-meter run on Winthrop University’s Irwin Belk Track.
Del Giudice completed the race in 1 minute, 54.12 seconds to earn a place on Davidson’s all-time top-10 performers list in the event and win by 0.78 seconds. He was joined in the top five by teammate Patrick Rollo, who placed fourth in 1:56.17.
Junior Michael Lorentsen also earned a top-five finish, clearing 13 feet, 11 1?4 inches (4.25m) in the pole vault to place fifth. Freshman Xzavier Killings earned the same place in the triple jump with a top mark of 44-3 1?4 (13.49m).
Sophomore Wesley Laytham led the ‘Cats in the 1500-meter run, finishing in 3:59.79.
The ‘Cats entered a pair of relay teams too, completing the 4x100-meter relay in 43.58 seconds to place sixth and completing the 4x400 in 3:26.17 to place fourth.

Wofford Track and Field Competes at Winthrop Invitational
ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Wofford College men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the Winthrop Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Irwin Belk Track. The Terriers had two first place finishes and set four school records.
On Friday, freshman Brandon Sloan set a school record in the women’s 100 meters with a time of 13.37 and also set the school mark in the long jump at 4.56 meters. Shaakira Brown broke the school mark in the 100 meter hurdles at 16.90. Kathleen Woods finished eleventh in the shot put. In the men’s 5000 meters, Russell Baker and Hunter McGahee were eleventh and twelfth respectively. Tevin Johnson was fourth in the men’s long jump at 6.95 meters.
On the second day of the meet for the women, Sam Hughes won the 3000 meter steeplechase in 11:11.37. Her time beat the previous Wofford record by 22 seconds. Alissa Williams took first place in the 800 meters in 2:13.84, while Katie Kessler was third with a time of 2:15.27 and Nicole Klasnic was fifth in 2:17.17. In the 1500 meters, Alyssa Burkert was second in 4:43.71 and Nicole Klasnic finished third in 4:47.61. The 4x400 meter relay team as fourth overall.
For the men on day two, Ryan Doyle was third in the 3000 meter steeplechase at 9:48.66. Andrew McCurry was sixth in the javelin at 38.83 meters. Kyle Hofmann was twelfth in the 800 meters at 2:02.59. Tevin Johnson was fourth in the high jump at 1.90 meters.
Next weekend the squads will host the Terrier relays on Saturday, April 6 at Spartanburg High School. The final meet of the season will be the Southern Conference Championships on April 20 and 21 in Statesboro, Georgia.
Samford Track Completes Raleigh Relays
RALEIGH, N.C. – Samford Track and Field completed day one at the Raleigh Relays Friday, with multiple Bulldogs earning new personal bests and top-ten finishes.
Lauren D’Alessio made a bid at breaking a school record but fell just shy, placing seventh in the first section of the women’s 5,000 meters in 16:27.94. The time is a new personal best and ranks second all-time at Samford, trailing the school record of 16:03.22. D’Alessio is only the second Samford athlete to run the event in under 17 minutes.
Samford’s two competitors in the men’s 1,500 meters ran in separate sections with both earning top-ten finishes. Layton Dorsett competed in the second section, finishing ninth in 3:54.40, while Brandon Hazouri finished third in section three in 3:55.26, a new personal best. On the women’s side, Marie Demedicis also earned a personal-best in the 1,500 meters, placing fifth in 4:38.38.
Luke Weishaar was Samford’s lone event winner of the day, beating the field in the fifth section of the men’s 5,000 meters, winning with a personal-best time of 15:05.03. Ashley Cope will advance to tomorrow’s finals in the women’s 100-meter hurdles, qualifying with a seventh-place finish of 14.03 Friday. Samford also earned two top-ten finishes in the men’s pole vault, with Ryan Cook in sixth (15-7, 4.75m) and Owen Wagoner in eighth (15-1, 4.60m).
Samford wrapped up competition at the Raleigh Relays Saturday afternoon, highlighted by a new PR by Marie Demedicis in the 800 meters.
Demedicis placed 13th in the invitational section of the women’s 800 meters, setting a new personal best by running 2:10.17. The sophomore continues to move in on the school record, further cementing her spot at second all-time only trailing Hillary Neal’s school record of 2:09.15 set in 2011.
In the field events, Bob Elliot II won the second section of the men’s triple jump, going 46-0.75 (14.04m) to win the event by nearly two feet. Ashley Cope earned a pair of seventh-place finishes in the field and on the track, clearing 12-3.5 (3.75m) in the first section of the pole vault and running 14.17 in Saturday’s 100-meter hurdle finals. In the second section of the pole vault, Laura Bedsole tied for third with a height of 11-5.75 (3.50m). Brandon Bassett was Samford’s final top-ten finisher of the day, placing ninth in the men’s javelin (187-9, 57.23m).
College of Charleston Competes in Raleigh Relays
RALEIGH, N.C. - The College of Charleston women’s track & field team had a successful outing as they competed at the Raleigh Relays this weekend. Three athletes earned spots on the top-10 list in the history of the program over the course of the meet.
Junior Christine Klinar improved on her school record in the javelin throw as she placed seventh with a throw of 41.85 meters, the second best throw in the Southern Conference this season.
Freshman Roshani Glover set the top mark in the SoCon this season and second best mark in school history as she won her section and placed ninth overall in the triple jump with a mark of 12.06 meters. Glover’s jump is the 27th best in the NCAA East region so far this season.
Sophomore Hayley McMahon ran a person best time in the 1,500-meter run as she clocked a time of 4:38.63, the third best time in the SoCon this season and sixth best time in school history.
In the 5,000-meter run sophomore Danielle Sams set a career-best as she finished 10th in her section as she crossed the finish line in 18:26.95.
In addition to the Raleigh Relays, members of the men’s cross country team competed at the Winthrop Invitational.
Adam Seften led the Cougars as he finished third in a time of 15:38.44. Other who competed in the race were Manning Miller (15:46.01, fifth), Alex Couch (16:29.44, 14th) and Tyler Wood (17:09.03, 20th).
Up next the women’s track & field team competes at the Duke Invitational April 5-6, their last meet before the Southern Conference Outdoor Championship, April 20-21 in Statesboro, Ga.
Appalachian State Track and Field Concludes Weekend Action
BOONE, N.C. – Daryl Saunders captured another high jump title to help Appalachian State University men's track and field to a second-place finish at the Beaches vs. Mountains Meet on Saturday afternoon.
The Mountaineers, who scored 137.5 points, finished behind Western Carolina (148.5) and in front of East Carolina (103) at the annual event.
The annual meet typically matches Appalachian and WCU against ECU and UNC Wilmington, combining the scores of the Beach schools and the Mountain schools to determine a winner, but the absence of UNCW changed the scoring system on Saturday.
Saunders recorded a leap of 2.08 meters (6-9.75) to record one of Appalachian's 20 top-three finishes on the day.
Other top finishers for the Mountaineers included Jared Stalling, who took first-place in the shot put, discus and hammer throw. Patrick Quinn was impressive in the pole vault, taking first with a mark of 4.81 meters (15-9.25), the fifth-best mark in school history.
Stanley Broaden continued his breakout season with first-place finishes in the 110 and 400-meter hurdles while Alex Taylor took home the 1,500-meter run title in a time of 3:54.70
Appalachian also sent four distance runners to the Raleigh Relays at NC State over the weekend where the Mountaineers had an extremely strong showing.
Brian Graves (30:12.56), Michael Lilley (30:24.98) and Kyle McFoy (30:38.53) finished 11th, 14th and 17th, respectively, in the 10,000-meter run. The performances moved all three into the top-10 in Appalachian State history.
On the women's side, Justine Stocks blew away the competition in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as Appalachian State University women's track and field notched 15 top-three finishes on Saturday at the Beaches vs. Mountains Meet.
The Mountaineers picked up a second-place finish at the event, compiling 120.5 points, to finish behind Western Carolina (159) and in front of East Carolina (110.5).

Stocks put forth perhaps the most dominant effort of the day by winning the steeplechase with a time of 11:20.52 to finish nearly a minute ahead of her nearest competitor. Her time marked a new personal record and is the sixth-best time in school history.
Audrey Diener also etched her name into the Appalachian State record book on Saturday as her mark of 3.73 meters (12-2.75) in the pole vault was a new personal best and the fourth-best mark in Appalachian history.
Other top finishers for the Mountaineers included Breanna Alston, who took first in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes, and Cassie Crawford, who won the pole vault yet again with a mark of 3.88 meters (12-8.75).
Tatyana Bryant grabbed first in the long jump with a leap of 5.61 meters (18-5) while Shelby Williams snagged second in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:34.32.
Appalachian State also sent three runners to the Raleigh Relays at NC State over the weekend where Amanda Hamilton paced the Mountaineers with a third-place finish in the 10,000-meter run (34:52.76) to set a new Appalachian State record.
The Mountaineers return to action next weekend when they travel to the Auburn Invitational. The two-day event begins on Friday.
Georgia Southern’s Aishya Wofford Moves Up to Second on All-Time List for Discus
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Junior Aishya Wofford took over the number-two spot on Georgia Southern’s all-time performance list for the Discus with her 45.23m (148’5”) throw at the UNF Invitational. Prior to this month, the top five hadn’t changed at all since 2007. Her mark was good for fourth overall, second among collegians at Saturday’s meet at the Hodges Track & Field Stadium. She posted the fourth-best distance earlier in March at the Georgia Southern Invitational.
Collectively, the Georgia Southern Track and Field team turned in solid performances Saturday in its last full-squad meet before the Southern Conference Championships April 20-21. Senior Ebony Carter had the top running performances of the day, recording the best time of the year for the Eagles in the 100m Dash (11.90) to tie for third and a 24.86 in the 200m Dash for seventh.
Carter was also a member of the Eagle 4X100 Relay team that finished third Saturday. Freshman Alyssa Felton, who finished second behind Carter in both the 100 (6th) and 200m (13th), stepped in to run the lead leg of the Relay Saturday. Seniors Jasmine Billings and Amber Vaughn gave Georgia Southern its push to the finish and a top-three time this season.
Taking a cue from Carter, Felton and Tipton as three Eagles in the top 20 of the 200m, five Eagles placed in the top 20 of 400m, led by Kimberly Thomas in 11th. Tiffany White, Vaughn, Deanna Edwards and Aliya Parkerall achieved personal bests in the race.
With first and second place finishes earlier this month in the 400m Hurdles, Dana Edwards took eighth in Jacksonville against a larger field. Her time was the second-best time of the Eagles’ season, just .60 seconds behind her time at the Georgia Southern Invitational three weeks ago. Sara Curry also posted one of the Eagles’ top three times of the season in the 5000m for seventh place in that event. She also had her best time of 2012-13 on the Eagles’ home track at the Georgia Southern Invitational.
Billings was the top Georgia Southern finisher in the 100m Hurdles with her second-best time of the season in that event, behind only her performance at last weekend’s FSU Relays. Lauren Toomer was only .02 seconds off her best time, also at the FSU Relays, and Ashleigh Rasheed posted her personal best in the event.
Both Rasheed and Taylor Johnson also had collegiate bests in the Javelin, the second event of the day while Johnson also competed in the Long Jump and the Triple Jump. Rasheed placed seventh in the Long Jump (5.23m, 0.8 wind, 17’2”) and eighth in the Triple Jump (11.33m, wind 1.6, 37’2.25”) while also participating in the Shot Put.
Earlier in the day, Wofford threw the Shot Put for the third-best distance of the season for Georgia Southern at 11.33m (37’2.25”). Vaughn tied her career best with a 1.55m (5’1”) with the top Eagle mark in the High Jump, duplicating her effort at the beginning of the month at the same venue. Rasheed made her debut in this event at 1.50m (4’11”), her sixth on the day.
Coach Mincey made some changes to the lineup of the 4X400 Relay teams and the Georgia Southern “A” team, comprised of White, Dana Edwards, Vaughn and Thomas posted the second-best time of the 2012-13 season for the Eagles.
Georgia Southern will bring a partial squad to Gainesville next weekend for the Florida Relays then have a week off from competition before playing host to the Southern Conference Championships at the Track and Field Complex at Erk Russell Athletic Park.
Women’s Track and Field Rewrite Record Book as Bulldogs Complete Action at Raleigh Relays
Raleigh, N.C – The women's track and field team took down four school relay records this weekend as The Citadel completed action at the Raleigh Relays on the Derr Track in Raleigh, N.C.
The women's 4x800, 4x200, 4x100 and sprint medley relay teams all moved to the top of The Citadel's record book this weekend. The 4x800 team of Micah Wessinger, Danielle McKee, Jackie Thompson and Jessica DeWitte shattered the school mark by 20 seconds, clocking in at 9:44 for the event.
The quartet of Chalita Johnson, Tanisha Bethel, Nicole Levermann and Danielle Williams topped the record books with a time of 48.17 in the 4x100, while a similar 4x200 team of Johnson, Bethel, Alex Moss and Williams, clocked in at 1:42.62 to etch their names in history.
The sprint medley squad consisting of Moss, Bethel, Wessinger and Williams also broke the school record with a fifth place time of 4:04.59.
In the men's relays, John Gatewood, Jordan Ashley, Jordan Johnson and Greg Coggins moved into third place in Citadel history with a time of 7:46 in the 4x800, while Gus Vazquez-Milan, Tevin Williams, Kevin Poland and Valian Brown posted a time of 1:28.54 in the 4x200 to nab fourth in the school's record book.
The men's sprint medley relay team of Jamaal Brantley, Williams, Vazquez-Milan and Ashley moved into 10th place all-time with a mark of 3:30.77.
Caillian Colquitt posted a fifth-best Citadel time in the 5,000 with 19:18.42.
In the field events, Dylan Gidado heaved a season best in the discus at 137'9", while Geno Porter threw the hammer a personal-best 133'5".
Nicole Levermann had a strong weekend with a personal-best javelin throw of 114'9" to move into seventh all-time and recorded an eighth place mark in the high jump at 5'3".
Redshirt senior Kasandra Polson heaved the hammer a season-best 136'2" and Eddie Jones took sixth in the long jump with a season-best leap of 23'2".
The Citadel will head to Gainesville, Fla., next weekend for the Florida Relays.
Six Personal Records Set For UNCG Men's Track At Raleigh Relays
RALEIGH, N.C. – The UNCG men's track and field team posted six personal records Friday at the Raleigh Relays hosted by N.C. State at Paul H. Derr Track.
Sophomore Dylan Belles (Denver, N.C./East Lincoln) highlighted the evening as he shattered his personal-record in the 5,000-meter distance. Belles posted a time of 15:00.54 to finish second in his heat, which was third fastest in the three early heats at the 5,000-meter distance. He trimmed almost 38 seconds off his top time of 15:38.53 set last season during the indoor season at the Hokie Invitational.
Junior Tyron Alston (Mebane, N.C./Eastern Alamance) also turned in a strong showing as he finished second in his heat at the 1,500-meter distance. Alston posted a personal-best time of 3:58.17, his first time sub-four minutes as his previous top mark was 4:00.50 set earlier this season at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational.
Junior Abraham Kemboi (Eldoret, Kenya/Kipkabus) turned in a top time in the 10,000-meter race as he finished 20th overall with a time of 30:52.19. He cut over 10 seconds off his previous top time of 31:03.05 set last season at the Duke Invitational.
Freshman Chris Murphy (High Point, N.C./Ledford) turned in a new top time at the 1,500-meter race as well. Murphy recorded a time of 4:11.16, narrowly coming in under his time of 4:11.41 set earlier this season at the Wake Forest Open.
Freshman Joshua Crawford (Fayetteville, N.C./South View) posted a top finish in the 5,000-meter race as well turning in a time of 15:29.76 in his heat. Additionally, sophomore Brandon Cain (Graham, N.C./Coker College) posted a personal-best time in the 5,000-meter race finishing in 17th place in his heat with a time of 15:47.97.
The Spartans return to action next weekend at the Duke Invitational in Durham April 5-6 before running at the Joe Hilton Invitational in Chapel Hill April 13 in the final tune-up before the Southern Conference championships.
UNCG’s Chelimo & Katam Turn In Strong Performances At Stanford Invitational
PALO ALTO, Calif. – UNCG junior Paul Chelimo (Chebiemit, Kenya/Chebiemit Boys School) and sophomore Paul Katam (Eldoret, Kenya/Sacho) turned in strong performances at the prestigious Stanford Invitational Friday night at Cobb Track and Angel Field.
Chelimo, running his first 5,000-meter race of the outdoor season, turned in a ninth place finish in the same distance he finished national runner-up last year in the NCAA Championships. He posted a time of 13:42.03, which was just off his NCAA Championship time of 13:41.04, finishing behind Arkansas' Kemoy Campbell who posted a time of 13:32.82.
Chelimo's time of 13:42.03 is over 27 seconds faster than his nearest competitor this season in the Southern Conference as Davidson's Demetrios Pagonis has tallied a time of 14:09.96 this year. His time is still 21 seconds behind his personal-best time of 13:21.89 set last year at the Payton Jordan Invitational.
Katam placed 21st in the 10,000-meter race to close out the night at Stanford in a time of 29:21.87. His time is 89 seconds faster than any other runner in the SoCon this season, surpassing Western Carolina's Joey Weaver (30:50.62). He finished behind John Gilbertson running for The Masters in a time of 28:30.35.
Katam's time of 29:21.87 is his second fastest of his career, trailing his personal-best time of 29:10.65 set last season at the NCAA Championships where he finished ninth overall in the nation.
Three Personal Records Set For UNCG Women's Track At Raleigh Relays
RALEIGH, N.C. – The UNCG women's track and field team posted three personal records Friday at the Raleigh Relays hosted by N.C. State at Paul H. Derr Track.
Junior Kelly Montague (Garner, N.C./West Johnston) and freshman Katherine Link (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake) started the afternoon off on the right foot as both set personal-records in the 5,000-meter race. Montague placed 15th in her heat in a time of 18:11.11, cutting over 13 seconds off her previous career-best time (18:24.68) set last season at the same meet. Link posted a time of 18:1758 to place 17th in the same heat in her first career performance at the distance in a meet setting.
Freshman Meredith Hicks (Raleigh, N.C./Leesville Road) rounded out the Spartans setting career marks as she turned in a top performance in the 1,500-meter race in her return to her hometown. Hicks posted a time of 5:23.62 to finish 20th overall in her heat, trimming almost two seconds off her time of 5:25.43 set last earlier this month at the Wake Forest Open.

Chattanooga’s Wanuch Nabs Narrow Victory at Yellow Jacket Invite
ATLANTA, Ga. --- “Nathan’s chest was bigger than the other guy's,” University of Tennessee at Chattanooga head coach Bill Gautier said of the photo finish.
Senior Nathan Wanuch (Mississauga, Ontario) and Georgia State’s Valentin Poncelet traded the lead several times in the closing distance of the men’s 5000 meter before the Chattanooga distance runner edged his opponent to win the race by three-hundredths of a second at the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Invitational.
Sophomore Amanda Sumner (Bristol, Conn.) led three Chattanooga runners in the women’s 1500m race placing fourth overall with a time of 4:31.63. Transfer Rebecca Greenwall (Bogart, Ga.) won her heat with a time of 4:53.79 and Keeley Stewart (Winchester, Tenn.) finished two spots behind her with a time of 4:56.57.
Freshman Lauren Hoard won her heat in the 100m dash with a time of 12.71 and ran the 200 meter dash in a time of 26.18. Senior Gabby Cader (Cleveland, Tenn.) also placed first in her heat with a top time of 1:00.97 in the 400m dash.
Senior Blake Olson (Pleasantview, Tenn.) placed fifth in the men’s 400m Hurdles with a time of 56.06 and freshman Iman Isang () finished eighth with a time of 59.60 in the event.
The Mocs will take the next weekend off in preparation of the University of Tennessee Sea Ray Relays at the Tom Black Track in Knoxville, Tenn., April 12-13.
Catamount Track and Field Wins 'Mountains vs. Beaches' Meet
Boone, N.C. - With a combined 46 podium finishes including 13 overall first-place finishes, Western Carolina won the team title on both the men's and women's side at the "Mountains vs. Beaches" meet on Saturday afternoon. The Catamount women recorded eight individual event championships while the men were atop the podium a combined five times on the day.
WCU's women tallied 159 total points with 25 podium finishes to defeat second place Appalachian State which finished with a total of 120.5 points ahead of East Carolina (110.5 points) in third. On the men's side, the Catamounts won with 148.5 points and 21 podium finishes, edging second-place Appalachian State with 137.5 points and East Carolina in third with 103. v The annual meet was originally scheduled to be a combined competition with WCU teaming with Appalachian State as the "Mountains" against the "Beaches" team of East Carolina and UNC Wilmington. However, UNCW did not make the trip resulting in a change in scoring pitting the three schools competing against each other head-to-head.
Western Carolina captured a one, two, three finish was in the women's triple jump as Achsah Brice (11.97m), Brittany Powell (11.29m) and Kiannari Badger (11.19m) swept the podium finishes. Powell also took fifth in long jump with a distance of 4.92-meters.
SoCon Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week Alisha Bradshaw also had several podium finishes, taking first in the shot put (13.56m) and discus (45.03m) while also placing second in the hammer throw (50.52m). Jared Johnson took finished in the top three in men's throws with a second place finish in both shot put (14.18m) and hammer (45.82m).
WCU's two other SoCon Track Athletes of the Week - Josey Weaver and Tayla Carter - also finished in the top three in their individual events on Saturday. Weaver took first in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:60.16. Carter took second in the women's 100-meter dash (11.81) and the 200-meter dash (24.03).
Both men's and women's WCU `A' 4 x 100-meter relay teams took first. The men (Ron Duncan, Brandon Hairston, Deman Boswell, and Jerry Wickerson) won with a time of 40.93, while the women (Kinnari Badger, Tayla Carter, Brittany Diggs, and Raven Parrish) finished first with a time of 46.33.
WCU `A' 4 x 400 relay team also took first for the women (Genevieve Emrick, Lena Elliot, Jocelyn Keen, and Tayla Carter) with a time of 3:44.69.
The Catamounts had success in the jumping events on both side as Bob McNeil who took first in men's triple jump (14.45m) and Xaviera Bass claimed the women's high jump (1.65m) with Kayla Heineike finishing third. On the track, Kendra Douglas (55.97) and Aaron Harris (48.02) won their respective 400-meter dash events, while Brandon Hairston stood atop the podium in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.34. Jocelyn Keen won the women's 800-meter dash with a time of 2:10.60, while Catamounts won the 3,000-meter runs as Aleshia Reese took the top prize on the women's side with a time of 10:22.51 and Travis Alfaro in the men's competition at 8:41.84.
The Catamounts will be back on the road for their next meet as they travel to Auburn, Ala. for the Tiger Track Classic on April 5-6 at the University of Auburn.
