SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Former Wofford standout Mike Lenzly and College of Charleston senior Andrew Lawrence were named to the Great Britain men's basketball team which will participate in the 2012 London Olympics it was announced today (July 5) .

After debuting with the Great Britain national team in 2007, Lenzly has made 37 appearances for the national team.  A 2003 Wofford graduate, he is tied for the school record with five blocked shots in a single game.  Lenzly finished his career with 1,333 points and was the Terriers' leading scorer in each of his final two seasons with Wofford. The guard was also the team's leading rebounder as a senior.

A Wofford Hall of Fame Inductee, Lenzly is sixth in the Wofford record books with 169 three-point field goals made and seventh in three-point field goals attempted with 467 giving him a 36.2 career three-point field goal percentage.   He has been playing professionally in Europe since graduating from Wofford.

Lawrence will enter his senior year at the College of Charleston this fall.  He started all 31 games for the Cougars as a junior last year and was the team's second-leading scorer with 13.0 points per game, including a season-high 32 points at Elon on February 2.

A London native, Lawrence paced CofC with 171 assists last year and his 5.5 assists-per-game average was the third best mark in the Southern Conference.  He posted a 2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio which tied for second in the conference last season.

Lawrence competed for two years on Great Britain's Under-18 National Team and earned Player of the Year honors his final year with the squad.

Great Britain's first game in the London Olympics is scheduled for July 29.
