SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Citadel sophomore Erica Pellegrini has been selected as the Southern Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for all competition from February 29 - March 6.
Pellegrini won the Hilton Head Invitational on Sunday, topping the field at the one-day, three-team event, which also included Appalachian State and Dayton.
The sophomore from Chadds Ford, Pa., fired a season-low 76 (+4) to win the first individual crown in school history. As a team, the Bulldogs placed second behind ASU.
Pellegrini's honor also marks the first SoCon golfer of the week award won by a Citadel golfer.
