SPARTANBURG, S.C. - UNCG freshman Fanny Cnops has been selected as the Southern Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 7-13.
Cnops was the top Southern Conference finisher at the JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla., finishing the 54-hole event in seventh place out of 101 competitors.
The freshman from Gent, Belgium carded a three-under par 69 in round two while completing the tournament at two over par (218). The second-round score was her fifth round in the 60s this season.
Cnops has now placed in the top 10 in six consecutive events.
