The Southern Conference has issued a letter of reprimand to Appalachian State women's basketball coach Darcie Vincent for critical remarks she made about the officiating following a 61-54 loss at Davidson on February 18.

"Like most Division I conferences, the Southern Conference has a strict regulation that prohibits coaches and administrators from making negative comments about the officials in a public forum," stated conference Commissioner John Iamarino. "After speaking to Coach Vincent, I am confident this was an isolated incident; that she regrets it; and that she understands the proper avenues for expressing her concerns."
