"We are excited about anything that we get to do in the fall," said Reed. "We don't necessarily look at the strength of our competition as much as what we are doing amongst ourselves. This is an opportunity for some younger players to play and see how they react to the speed of the game at this level. We try to get a broad base of teams and having the Fall Classic this year is going to bring some really good Division I teams into Warner Park."

Chattanooga begins the fall slate hosting Tennessee Wesleyan in a nine-inning scrimmage on Sept. 24 at Noon. The Lady Mocs then welcome Roan State for a doubleheader on Sept. 30 at 5 p.m.

"We have seven new student-athletes that we have to figure out where they are going to be in the lineup," said Reed. "I could see us taking the entire fall just trying to see where everyone fits. When we start in February, we want to be able to plug them into the right holes."

For the first time in the Reed era, Chattanooga will hold a 10-team tournament at Warner Park called the RBI Fall Classic. The event begins at 11 a.m. on Oct. 8 and utilizes Frost Stadium and two adjacent fields at Warner Park.

The Lady Mocs will face Milligan College and Georgia in a doubleheader beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 8. Chattanooga State and Middle Tennessee State are on the Lady Mocs schedule on Oct. 9 with first pitch of a twinbill slated for 1:15 p.m. Also attending the event is Tennessee Tech, Lipscomb, Motlow State, Calhoun and Marion Military.

"Fall is a time to learn, grow and get things behind you," said Reed. "It is also a time to experiment and open substitutions provides us with an opportunity for a player gain some more experience on the base paths or at the palate."

All contests will begin at their scheduled time as a time limit of one hour and 45 minutes is being used during the tournament. Additionally, teams will have unlimited substitutions.

Rounding out the schedule is the annual Blue-Gold game on Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. This year's event will feature an alumni team competing against the Lady Mocs.

Prior to the exhibition, a ceremony will be held honoring the success of the 2010 squad that captured the Southern Conference Regular Season and Tournament titles and advanced to the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional finals.

Chattanooga returns 10 players from last year's team including five starters. The Lady Mocs are bringing seven new faces into the program: Brittany Perez, Jenny Garcia, Sarah Beth Roberts, Taylor Deason, Lakin Singleton, Ninjja Suetsugu and Cheyenne Willis Moon.
