CHARLESTON, S.C. - Rising junior Kathy Boehm won the Bavarian Women's Championship held at the Golf Club Augsburg from June 3-5.
Boehm, a native of Munich, Germany won the provincial championship by four shots over her nearest competitor. She posted rounds of 73-72-77 for the victory.
"I tried to make use of a little better course management this tournament. I reminded myself of how much fun golf is when you play with confidence and with no doubts about any shots," Boehm said.
Boehm had the second best stroke average for the Cougars this past season posting an average of 77.59. Her best finish of the year was a second place finish at the Pinehurst Challenge in April.
