About the Championship

The 2015 Southern Conference Softball Championship will take place in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Wednesday, May 6, through Saturday, May 9. The event will be hosted on the campus of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. This will be the 22nd annual Southern Conference Softball Championship. All seven softball teams will participate in the championship and the winner will receive the conference's automatic bid to an NCAA Regional.

Last year, The Chattanooga Mocs defeated UNCG 4-3 to win the 2014 championship title. Jesslyn Stockard posted three RBIs to help the Mocs claim their first title since 2011 and 12th overall, while teammate Katie Henderson was selected as the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.

Henderson finished the tournament with a 3-0 record, allowing just two earned runs in 23 2/3 innings to go along with 32 strikeouts and just two walks.
