About the Championship 

The 2012 Southern Conference Men's & Women's Tennis Championships was held on Thursday, April 19th through Monday, April 23nd. This was the 64th annual Southern Conference Men's and the 30th annual Southern Conference Women's Tennis Championship.  The championships were held in Charleston, S.C. and hosted by the College of Charleston and The Citadel. 

The College of Charleston Cougars topped Samford 4-0 to win the Southern Conference Men's Tennis Tournament Monday morning.  It was the Cougars' first tournament title since 2003 and their second since joining the conference.  The Cougars were lead by the tournament's Most Oustanding Player, Tom Delme.

The College of Charleston women's tennis team won its fourth consecutive Southern Conference Tennis Tournament with a 4-0 victory over UNCG.  The Cougars own Kelly Kambourelis was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
