ASU Men?s Soccer Volunteers at People of the Planet Soccer Tournament

BOONE, N.C.- Appalachian State University men's soccer head coach Shaun Pendleton and the entire men's soccer team volunteered their time to the vastly successful People of the Planet Soccer Tournament held in Boone on April 3. The players and staff officiated games from the youth level to the adult sector.

There were over 300 participants during the day-long event which was the largest turnout ever seen in the program's five year history.

"It is always nice to give something back to the local community and the response to this program was outstanding," said Pendleton. "The players did a fantastic job officiating and interacting with the local players. Many of the participants support our program by attending every home game and we thought we would love to give something back to them. "
