Paladins, Mocs Complete 36 Holes in Athens

Furman's Kenoyer Cards 76 In Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic Second Round

Athens, Ga. - Senior Stefanie Kenoyer (76-76=152) fired a four-over 76 on Saturday to lead the Furman Paladins in the second round of the 39th Annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the par-72 University of Georgia Golf Course.

The Lighthouse Point, Fla., native moved up to a share of 27th place after two rounds and stands eight strokes behind tournament leader Numa Gulyanamitta (E) of Purdue.  Marta Silva Zamora (+1) of Georgia and Emily Tubert (+1) of Arkansas are tied for second place after 36 holes.

The University of Alabama (+1) carded a 291 on Saturday to move four strokes ahead of second place Purdue (+5).  Georgia (+9), Duke (+11) and Notre Dame (+12) rounded out the top five in the tournament's 23-team field that includes 19 of the top 40 teams in the nation.  Furman (304-307=611) is in 21st place after two rounds.

Final round action is scheduled for a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.  Furman will tee-off as a team from No. 17.

Mocs Improve Score, Close Gap on Several at Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

Chattanooga's is 23rd entering Sunday's final round led by Emma de Groot at +9 (153)

ATHENS, Ga.---The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's golf team is 23rd after two rounds of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the University of Georgia Golf Course.  Chattanooga's 304 (+16) on Saturday helped close the gap on a number of teams in the field.

Emma de Groot (Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia) continues to pace the Mocs after today's round of 76 (+4) places her tied for 31st at 153.  She currently leads 16 top 100 players including No. 1 Megan McChrystal (LSU) and No. 2 Lindy Duncan (Duke) by a shot apiece.

Marion Duvernay (Publier, France) and Christine Wolf (Igls, Austria) both shot 78 (+6) today.  Jordan Britt (Dayton, Tenn.) had an 81, while Yushira Budhram (Johannesburg, South Africa) carded an 85.

No. 2 Alabama is the team leader at +1, 577.  The Crimson Tide shot past first round leader No. 5 Purdue (581) by six for today's round to take a four-stroke advantage into tomorrow.  No. 13 Georgia is third at 585.

Numa Gulyanamitta of Purdue is at even par 144 heading into the final round with a one-shot lead on Emily Tubert (Arkansas) and Marta Silva Zamora (Georgia) at plus one.  Alabama's Stephanie Meadow is another stroke back in fourth at two over.
