SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Citadel sophomore Brunson Miller and Samford junior Michael Seaman have been named the Southern Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets during the weekend of Feb. 4 through Feb. 6. The selections are made by the league's track and field coaches.
Miller, a sophomore from Murrells Inlet, S.C., placed second in the 400 meters dash at the Niswonger Invitational with a time of 48.23. Miller just missed winning the event after a photo finish determined he finished .01 second behind the first-place runner. Miller currently leads the conference in the event.
In the men's field events, Michael Seaman won the men's pole vault with a height of 16-10.75 at the Niswonger Invitational. The Bardstown, Ky., native, leads the conference in the pole vault.
