SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Southern Conference has announced the pairings for the 2011 Women's Basketball Tournament, slated to begin Thursday (March 3) in Chattanooga, Tenn., at McKenzie Arena. 

Appalachian State clinched the regular season title and earned a bye in the first round.  Also securing byes in the tournament are Samford (No.2), Chattanooga (No. 3), Elon (No. 4) and Furman (No. 5).  Appalachian State, Samford and Chattanooga will wait to be matched up with their opponents following Thursday's opening round while Elon and Furman will square off on March 5 at 9:00 a.m.

The tournament will begin with Georgia Southern (No. 7) taking on Western Carolina (No. 10) at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.  Following that game will be Davidson (No. 8) against College of Charleston (No. 9).  The final game of Thursday's session will feature UNCG (No. 6) and Wofford (No. 11).

Game 1 - (7) Georgia Southern vs. (10) Western Carolina, 1:00 p.m.

Game 2 - (8) Davidson vs. (9) College of Charleston, 30 minutes following Game 1

Game 3 - (6) UNCG vs. (11) Wofford, 30 minutes following Game 2

Friday, March 4

Game 4: (2) Samford vs. Game 1 winner, 9:00 a.m.

Game 5: (1) Appalachian State vs. Game 2 winner, 30 minutes following Game 4

Saturday, March 5
Game 6: (4) Elon vs. (5) Furman, 9:00 a.m.

Game 7: (3) Chattanooga vs. Game 3 winner, 30 minutes following Game 6

Sunday, March 6
Semifinal 1: Game 5 winner vs. Game 6 winner, Noon

Semifinal 2: Game 4 winner vs. Game 7 winner, 2:30 p.m.

Monday, March 7
Championship Game - 4:00 p.m.
