SPARTANBURG, S.C. - College of Charleston guard Andrew Goudelock has been named the Southern Conference Player of the Week for all games played February 8-14 the league office announced Tuesday (Feb. 15).  Goudelock averaged 23.0 points, 6.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds as the Cougars defeated Elon (85-67) and UNCG (87-69) last week.  It is the second consecutive week he has won the award

Goudelock opened the week with a career-high 34 points as the Cougars knocked off the Phoenix.  The Stone Mountain, Ga., native finished 8-of-12 from beyond the arc against Elon.  He added four assists and a steal in 36 minutes of action against the Phoneix.  Goudelock was one of five Cougars to score in double figures against the Spartans Saturday afternoon as he chipped in 12 points.  He recorded a game-high eight assists and five steals as CofC pulled away from UNCG in the second half.

The senior is currently on a 12-game double-digit scoring streak and continues to lead the Southern Conference and rank among the top five nationally in points per game (5th, 23.7 ppg) and made three-pointers (3rd, 3.4 3fg).

College of Charleston (19-7, 12-2 SoCon) will visit The Citadel Thursday.  The cross-town matchup will tip off at 7:00 p.m. at McAlister Fieldhouse. 

Other top performers in the Southern Conference included Appalachian State's Donald Simms, The Citadel's Cameron Wells, Davidson's Brendan McKillop, Furman's Darryl Evans, Georgia Southern's Ben Drayton III, Chattanooga's Ricky Taylor, Western Carolina's Trey Sumler and Wofford's Jamar Diggs.
