SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Midway through the Southern Conference indoor track and field season, Appalachian State leads in both the men's and women's power rankings. The rankings are determined by the top eight times or scores that are reported by the schools for each event that will be conducted at this month's championships.
The Mountaineer men have 224 points and are followed by Western Carolina with 170 points.
On the women's side, Appalachian State has 179 points and leads the second-place Catamounts by 42 points.
Samford rounds out the top three on the men's side, while Georgia Southern is third for the women.
