Dahlman Named Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Wofford forward Noah Dahlman has been named the Southern Conference Player of the Week for all games played January 25-31 the league office announced Tuesday (Feb. 1).  Dahlman averaged 28.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and shot 73 percent from the floor as the Terriers knocked off Appalachian State (74-65) and Western Carolina (75-66) last week

The senior opened the week with a team-high 23 points at Appalachian State.  He was 9-of-16 from the field against the Mountaineers and added six rebounds, three assists and three steals in 33 minutes of action.  He followed that performance with a game-high 34 points against the Catamounts.  Dahlman connected on 15-of-17 field goal attempts, grabbed four rebounds and added three assists against Western Carolina.  It was the third time this season he has scored at least 30 points.

Dahlman ranks third in the league in scoring (20.6 ppg) and leads the Southern Conference in field goal percentage (.630). The Braham, Minn., native is third in the SoCon with 2.5 offensive rebounds per game.

Wofford (12-10, 9-2 SoCon) returns to the action Thursday when the Terriers visit College of Charleston.  The game will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. and will be televised on ESPNU. 

Other top performers in the Southern Conference included The Citadel's Cameron Wells, UNCG's Brandon Evans, Chattanooga's Ricky Taylor, Samford's John Peterson and Western Carolina's Trey Sumler.
