SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Campbell redshirt-freshman Mark Hartenstine has been named Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week for all competitions from December 7-13.
In the only conference matchup of the week, Hartenstine's technical fall was instrumental in the Fighting Camels' 27-15 victory over VMI, which improved the program to 2-0 in SoCon action.
Wrestling at 149 pounds, the Easton, Pa., native raced out to a quick start and maintained the pressure against the Keydets' David Yost. Hartenstine amassed a 15-0 lead in 3:32 to improve to 2-0 in SoCon matches this season.
Other Nominees: Savva Kostis (Appalachian State), Josh Wood (SIUE) and Robert Prigmore (Chattanooga).
