SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Georgia Southern’s Kate Van Dyke has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced today.

The junior led the Eagles to two wins last week with a pair of 49 assist performances. She recorded her best three-set assist performance in a 3-0 sweep of Davidson Monday evening.

The junior setter is second in the league in assists, as she averages 10.69 per set.

The Shawnee, Kan., native sports a 3.96 GPA in Psychology and posted a perfect 4.0 last spring.
