SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Davidson's JP Kuhlman has been named the Southern Conference Player of the Week for all games played November 22-28 the league office announced Tuesday (Nov. 29).  The junior guard scored 21 points on the road as Davidson topped UNC Wilmington (70-67) last week.

With the Wildcats holding a one-point lead late in the game, Kuhlman grabbed a defensive rebound and was fouled before hitting two free throws with 1.2 seconds remaining to push Davidson ahead, 70-67.  The Ponte Vedra, Fla., native connected on 6-of-11 shots from the floor, including 3-of-6 from three-point range.  He made six of seven free throw attempts, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out two assists in 33 minutes against the Seahawks.

Kuhlman is tied for seven in the Southern Conference in scoring with 14.2 points per game.

The Wildcats (4-1) travel to face Wofford (3-3) Thursday night.

Other top performers in the Southern Conference included Appalachian State's Isaac Butts, College of Charleston's Andrew Lawrence, The Citadel's Mike Groselle, Chattanooga's Keegan Bell, Samford's Drew Windler, Western Carolina's Brandon Boggs and Wofford's Kevin Giltner.
