Latigue Named to Primetime Performer List

ELON, N.C. - Elon junior Gabe Latigue was among a list of nine Division I college soccer players to be selected to the CS360 Primetime Performers of the Week as selected by CollegeSoccer360.com. Latigue tallied points in each of Elon's three wins en route to the Phoenix's first-ever Southern Conference Tournament title. Elon will make its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament later tonight when the Phoenix battles 17th-ranked Coastal Carolina at 7 p.m.

Latigue tallied his seventh assist of the season on the game-winning goal in Elon's semifinal victory against the 16th-ranked Furman Paladins. Latigue served the pass to Chris Thomas that led to the game's lone goal in the 33rd minute to advance the Phoenix to the championship game. Against top-seeded UNCG in the title match, Latigue knocked in a penalty kick to push Elon's lead to 2-0 in a game the Phoenix eventually won, 3-2. The midfielder had also netted the game-winner in Elon's first-round win at Georgia Southern a week ago.

Latigue ranks second in the Southern Conference with seven assists on the year and he ranks second on the team with 15 points.
