SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Citadel's Mike Groselle has been named the Southern Conference Player of the Week for all games played through November 14 the league office announced Tuesday (Nov. 15).  Groselle recorded back-to-back double-doubles last week as the Bulldogs fell to VMI (103-100) before knocking off Army (83-72) at the All-Military Classic over the weekend.

Groselle opened the season with game-highs in both points (25) and rebounds (11) in Friday's loss to VMI.  He was 9-of-12 from the field and connected on 7-of-8 free throws in 37 minutes against the Keydets.  In Saturday's game against Army, Groselle scored 16 points and pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.  He was named to the All-Tournament team at the All-Military classic for his efforts.

The Plano, Texas, native has now recorded three consecutive double-doubles dating back to last year's Southern Conference tournament.

Other top performers in the Southern Conference included Appalachian State's Andre Williamson, College of Charleston's Trent Wiedeman, Davidson's De'Mon Brooks, Georgia Southern's Eric Fergusson, Chattanooga's Omar Wattad, Samford's Raijon Kelly, Western Carolina's Harouna Mutombo and Wofford's Karl Cochran.
