SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Furman junior forward Coleton Henning has been chosen as the Southern Conference men's soccer player of the week for all matches from October 3-9.
Henning tallied a pair of goals this past week as Furman posted a 1-0-1 record against Southern Conference opponents.
The Shawnee, Kan., native opened the scoring in Furman's 3-1 triumph over Georgia Southern on Tuesday night before scoring the equalizer goal in a 2-2 tie at College of Charleston in the second half of Saturday's match.
The forward has totaled five goals and two assists so far this season.
Other Nominees: David Dodge (Appalachian State), Sean de Silva (College of Charleston), Chris Pettiglio (Davidson) and Luigi Clendening (Georgia Southern).
